COD

Secure Cash on Delivery collection and remittance

Cash on delivery is still how a large share of online orders get paid for across our markets. Customers who will not enter a card number online will happily pay a rider at the door. Ignoring COD means ignoring most of the demand — but running it badly is how merchants lose money quietly.

The risk in COD is never the delivery. It is the gap between what was collected, what was reported and what actually reaches your bank. We close that gap by verifying collection at the point of handover, recording it against the specific order, and giving you a statement that reconciles line by line rather than a lump sum with no breakdown.

We also work the front end of COD, because a delivered parcel is worth far more than an attempted one. Our call centre confirms orders before dispatch and re-books failed attempts, which is the single biggest lever on your COD success rate and your returns fee.

Per-order

reconciliation, not lump sums

Cash + MoMo

collected at the door

What's included

Cash and mobile money at the door

Riders collect physical cash or mobile money — M-Pesa, MoMo and local equivalents — whichever the customer prefers.

Driver verification

Collection is confirmed at handover against the specific order, so cash is attributed rather than pooled.

Per-order reconciliation

Every payout statement ties back to order numbers: collected, pending, returned. No unexplained differences.

Order confirmation calls

Our agents confirm the customer still wants the parcel before we spend a delivery on it, cutting refusal rates.

Failed-delivery recovery

Unreachable or unavailable customers are re-contacted and re-scheduled instead of being written off on the first attempt.

Scheduled remittance

Funds are remitted on your agreed cycle so you can plan restocking and ad spend against a known date.

How it works

  1. 01

    Order lands

The COD order arrives from your store into our system with the customer's address and phone number.

  2. 02

    We confirm it

An agent calls to confirm the order, the address and the amount payable before it leaves the warehouse.

  3. 03

    Deliver and collect

The rider hands over the parcel and collects cash or mobile money, marking the collection against that order.

  4. 04

    Reconcile and remit

Collections are reconciled per order and remitted to you with a statement you can audit.
